Liberia 2024
In a recent journey to Liberia, we had the privilege of providing dental care to communities with limited access to essential healthcare services. Over the course of six clinic days, our team treated 309 patients, completing 299 extractions and administering 63 fluoride treatments. We also performed a full dental cleaning for one patient. Each interaction reinforced our commitment to enhancing dental health and comfort for those in need, and we are excited to share over 50 photos from our time in Liberia, showcasing the communities we served and the meaningful connections we formed.
This mission was made possible through a partnership between the Hirsche Smiles Foundation and a dedicated Liberian humanitarian group, CARE (Community Action for Reintegration and Empowerment). Our free dental clinics reached communities across New Kru Town, Banjor, Red Field, the VOA refugee camp, Caldwell, and Paynesville. Beyond dental care, we contributed over $400 in food supplies to an orphanage that had recently lost its funding, provided backpacks and school supplies for children, and distributed hygiene kits and small toys. The CARE team also offered vision screenings and fitted patients with donated eyeglasses, bringing a holistic approach to our outreach and empowering individuals toward a healthier, brighter future.
