Guatemala 2022
We visited the Senate, Guatemala area to provided 4 days of dentistry with the Hirsche Smiles Foundation.
We worked with local contacts and health officials to identify and visit areas with very limited (if any) access to dental care. Access is limited by remoteness and overall lack of trained professionals.
We have provided care in some areas without any running water, electricity or lighting. In the Senahu area, we traveled, standing in the back of an open truck, up bumpy dirt roads for as much as 2 hours to get to places.
